Museum of Welsh Life

Costume gallery in Cardiff, Great Britain. Opened in 1975, the museum was recently renovated. The collection includes costumes and accessories of Welsh manufacture and origin, dating from 1700 to the present day. There is a working eighteenth-century loom, which helps tell the story of local weaving. One room is fitted out as a 1950’s tailor’s shop, complete with all the original material. Other areas are dedicated to national Welsh costume.
