Lee Robert (1947). American jeweler of German origin. He was the founder of the Artwear Gallery in New York, which he ran from 1977 to 1993. His first works were exhibited in the Sculpture to Wear gallery, which opened in New York in 1972 and specialized in art jewelry. His first creations, very modern in both style and form, were based on primitive motifs. Fascinated by the symbols of magic and ritual, he created artworks on a grand scale. Later he became involved in the fashion world, with jewelry collections for famous designers such as Donna Karan.
