Morellato

Brand of jewelry made by the watch-strap company of the same name. Founded in Bologna in 1930, twenty years later Morellato had become the European and world leaders in their field. A careful marketing strategy ensured a diversification of products, and led to the introduction of jewelry boxes produced under the Arca Astucci brand in 1986, and in 2000 to a jewelry range that synthesized high-fashion and wearability. The prêt-à-porter collection, which proposed straps in steel, and in leather embellished with gold and precious stones, served to please even the most varied tastes, and met the desired levels of flexibility with interchangeable straps and components. The rapid success of the jewelry line led to franchises at Fortunoff in New York and in the Japanese department store Marui. The Morellato Group, based in the region of Padua, has subsidiaries in Germany, Spain, and France. In 2002, under the guidance of Massimo Carraro, the group’s co-owner and administrator, Morellato made sales of 60 million euros.
