Morabito

French fashion house specializing in fur and jewelry. In 1905, Jean-Baptiste Morabito moved to Nice as a jeweler and case-maker, after an apprenticeship in Naples at his father’s studio. He opened his first shop in Paris in the Rue Saint-Honoré in 1921. The development and evolution of this commercial enterprise was entrusted to his son, Armand. In 1947 the perfume Morabito No. 7 was launched, its bottle designed by Lalique. The founder’s grandson, Pascal Morabito, contributed to the continuing prestige of the brand with the opening of a new shop in Place VendÂme in 1982, followed by others in New York, Geneva, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. 1998 saw the launch of the perfume Passion Mediterranée and a range of cosmetics.
