Montedoro

Italian ready-made clothing firm founded in Castellanza (province of Varese) in 1958 to produce raincoats, overcoats and sportswear. During the 1970s, it made use of the stylistic collaboration of Walter Albini and Giorgio Armani, resulting in great visibility on the runway and the market for a time. During the 1990s, the brand was relaunched. The company has its own showrooms in Milan, New York, Düsseldorf, Paris, and Tokyo.
&Quad;2002. 80% of Montedoro of Castellana was acquired by Textile Production Industries. The operation, worth 1.3 million euros, represented the first stage in a diversification process that took place between 2001 and 2004. The purposes of the diversification were to expand the brand’s range of products and to create distribution synergies. In 2001, Montedoro had a turnover of approximately 3 million euros.
