Mf Fashion

A fashion insert that appears four times a week in the daily paper, Milano Finanza, founded and directed by Paolo Panerai. It is the first daily Italian newspaper devoted to the world of fashion, and considers the industry primarily from an economic perspective. Launched in December 1997, today the paper has a maximum circulation of about 210,200, and an average of almost 118,600 copies. In October 2001, the first edition of its offshoot, Magazine for Fashion, appeared at the newsagents, a publication also directed by Panerai with the co-direction of Nicoletta Ferrari. The editorial is currently coordinated by Simona Melegari and Mara Gaudenzi, with the assistance of about a dozen collaborators. This was another landmark, being the first trade magazine intended for people working in the sector. It takes the form of a monograph and is issued twice a month. It sometimes spotlights men’s and women’s collections recently shown on the runways, or jewelry or design. After the first ten issues, the magazine had circulation figures that equaled the daily paper. During the last few years, Panerai has given up his role as sole administrator of the Class Editori Group, taking on the position of president and maintaining direction of the titles. A good strategist and careful observer of the dynamics of the world of fashion, nowadays Panerai often speaks at conferences on the fashion system.
&Quad;2002, October. The Best Will Survive was the title of the first Milan Fashion Global Summit, a conference organised by the director of the magazine, Paolo Panerai, and Frederick Kempe of the Wall Street Journal. The two-day conference was intended to set aside current trends and to look to the future, beyond the current economic crisis. The speakers brought their experience from the clothing and textile sectors across the world, from Kuwait to Russia.
