André-Edouard (1882-1974). French illustrator, set and costume designer. He designed the first posters for Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes in 1910, ensuring him a certain fame among those in the business. However, he already featured on the pages of the Gazette du Bon Ton with fashion drawings that were never calligraphic. He only considered it a job, but he did it with talent, collaborating with Vogue, Fémina, Jardin, and Harper’s Bazaar. One of the many books he illustrated was Modes et manières d’aujourd’hui by Tristan Bernard.
