Maria Luisa

The name of four trend-setting boutiques in Paris opened since 1988 by the Venezuelan Maria Luisa Poumaillou. Her French husband, Daniel, takes care of their administration, while their twenty-seven year old daughter, Alexandra, assists with the buying. The first boutique sells a range of clothing in Rue Cambon, while the other three specialize in shoes, menswear, and a mix of male and female prêt-à-porter. The store windows often preview the work of promising young designers, such as Rick Owens, Stéphanie Parmentier, and Sofia Kokosalaki.
