Lognon

Gérard. A master of plissé. Under Napoleon III, his great-grandmother Emilie was a lingerie embroiderer and a specialist in ironing pleated shirtfronts. His grandfather George opened a shop which used cardboard molds to pleat fabrics. Among his customers were Maison Fortuny, Chanel, Paquin, Fath, Dior, Balenciaga, and Hermès. Grandson Gérard continues the tradition. His atelier is in Rue Danielle Casanov in Paris. Galliano owes to him the perfection of the plissé in the “parka” presented in his Summer 2002 collection.
