Lambswool
20 February 2012
Wool from the first shearing of the lamb. Under a microscope it is seen to have an end as sharp as that of a needle, and is not cut in same way as other shearings. Of fine quality, it is particularly soft and is often blended with cashmere. The highest quality lambswool is Geelong.
