Hitman

Italian company of men’s clothing established by Nino Cerruti in 1956, when the heir of the Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti of Biella decided to join the world of manufacturing. The production plants are located in Corsico and Gaggiano, near Milan, employing 350 people. Annually it produces 120,000 pieces, collaborating continually with a network of ten other Italian companies specialized in coats, pants, and jackets. The heritage of Hitman is intrinsic to the engineering technique of the various phases of tailoring manufacturing, based on typical industrial timing and standards. Since its debut the company, which works exclusively for the brands of Cerruti, has been producing the line Flying Cross. The line was born from the idea of the founder and tailor-designer Osvaldo Testa. It was a trendy brand, but with time it adopted an Anglo-Naples style, a fusion of rigorous Neapolitan tailoring ability and an English taste in fabrics. Since the early 1990s, the line’s designer has been Maurizio Zuccotti. New politics in distribution have increased the number of clients by 30%.
The company, in collaboration with the department store chain, Coin, decided to develop the Ishtar project to experiment with new technologies in the production and selling of custom-made clothing. The experiment, which began in the Coin department store at Piazza Cinque Giornate in Milan, and foresaw the use of the Internet. It has Portuguese, French, and German partners among others.
