Greene

Milton H. Greene (1922-1985). American photographer. He started working at the very young age of 14. He immediately aligned himself with the world of fashion photography characterized by refinery and former rigor, which has points of reference in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. He was assistant to Maurice Baumann, Eliot Elisofon, and, most importantly, Louise Dahl-Wolfe from whom he learnt his almost manic attention to atmosphere and to the use of delicate color in warm shades. His portraits are also famous, in particular those of Marilyn Monroe.
