GIOVANNI RASPINI, FIFTY YEARS OF JEWELRY.

Giovanni Raspini is a jewelry brand founded by the homonymous Tuscan designer and architect. His story began in 1972 in the Tuscan hills, where a 16th century villa became the atelier and the beating heart of the brand. Thus from a workshop of 12 people, today Giovanni Raspini, collector and scholar of gold and antique silverware, supported by Claudio Arati, has created a community of 120 people. With his jewels, the passion for silver and shapes that recall nature, Raspini is now a leader in the sector. 

I deeply love silver, which gives me infinite emotions, never predictable, always changing. 

Each piece is made entirely by hand, starting from a drawing that acquires three-dimensionality thanks to the wax. The model obtained is then used for casting, an ancient technique that the brand continues to pass on with its jewels. Once the actual construction is finished, it’s the turn of the polishing, the burnishing for the silver artifacts, the setting if the jewel wears a stone.

PALAZZO TOPI D’AREGENTO BY GIOVANNI RASPINI 

In 2021 the jewelry designer, multifaceted and visionary artist, inaugurated his Palazzo dei Topi d’Argento in Monte San Savino. Notably, a 16th century building, which was once the home of Andrea Sansovino, and that today has become the new studio atelier of the jewelry brand. A wunderkammer, created under the artistic direction of the architect Roberto baiocchi, where the works created in fifty years of history are exhibited. Place that is both an atelier and a creative laboratory, exhibition venue and Renaissance workshop.
