Fifi Chachnil

Brand of prêt-à-porter created by the designer Delphine Veron (1959). Heir of a family of Lyon weavers, she took courses on graphic art from Met de Penninghen and attended the Esmod School. After a trip to Egypt, which influenced her taste and creativity, she returned to France and recorded a CD singing in Arab under the pseudonym which she would later use as a brand name for her products: jewellery, clothes, and Barbie-style outfits. In 1986, she opened a boutique in Paris. In 1996, she launched a line of underwear. Her products are on sale at Barneys in New York, Agent Provocateur in London, and Kashiama in Paris.
