Fake London

English brand of ready-to-wear created in 1995 by Desirèe Mejer, who was born near Cadiz, Spain, in 1968. After arriving in London in 1992, without any experience in the fashion field, she had the brilliant idea of recycling second-hand cashmere sweaters. Her creations are soft, eccentric patchworks of knitwear. By now, the model representing the Union Jack is famous. Since the line’s launching in 1996, her particularly sophisticated ensembles have been worn by music and film stars.
At the 63rd edition of Pitti Uomo, on the Puma stand, a new unisex sportswear collection is presented. It came from the union of three brands and their corresponding logos: Fake London (a stylized flower on cashmere), Puma (a cat), and the emerging Japanese Evisu (a Buddha).
