Evins

David Evins (1917). English shoemaker. He worked in the U.S. after studying at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. During the 1970s, he launched the stretch boot in fabric. The use of leather, extraordinary skins, a modern classic style, and great accuracy in manufacture to the point of being almost “handmade” contributed to his fame and business success.
At the age of 80, his creations were prominently featured in the book A Century of Shoes: Icons of Style in the 20th Century by Angela Pattison and Nigel Cawthorne.
