ELISABETTA FRANCHI, READY TO WEAR FASHION BRAND FOUNDED BY THE HOMONYMOUS DESIGNER
Elisabetta Franchi was born in Bologna in 1968, the fourth of five children in a humble family. Years later, the designer remembered how the absence of a father, the difficulties, but also the passion and determination of revenge motivated her to pursue her dreams. The only playmate in her childhood, a doll, was an inspiration to her for the Betty Doll line.
While studying at the Aldrovandi Rubbiani Institute in Bologna, she financed her studies by working as a saleswoman, an experience that taught her to listen to and fulfill the needs of clients.
THE DEBUT IN THE FASHION WORLD

The designer took her first steps in the fashion world in 1996, opening a small atelier and starting to produce her fashion idea with five collaborators. In 1998, Betty Blue S.p.A. was born with the CELYN b line. The initial stands for Betta, diminutive of the designer.
In 2006, the designer bought an old abandoned pharmaceutical company which in 2008 became the headquarters of the maison. The eco-sustainable architectural style and design fully reflect the designer’s vision in every detail.
In 2012, the designer changed the brand name to Elisabetta Franchi.
THE MAISON’S POSITION ON THE MARKET

Thanks to its unmistakable style, to the care for the research of materials and to a quality production, the brand made its way into the international market reaching over 100 million in revenues in 2017. The brand owns around 1100 multi-brand stores and 80 single-brand boutiques in the most strategic locations: in Paris, Milan, Moscow, Hong Kong and Dubai. Since 2015, it has been one of the leading brands of the Milan Fashion Week. There she presented her spring summer 2015 collection for the first time.
The many press offices located all over the world (over 11) ensure the brand international coverage, disseminating the codes, history and news of the brand through an effective storytelling.
ELISABETTA FRANCHI’S STYLE AND HER ANIMAL-FRIENDLY CAMPAIGNS

The style of the brand makes the designer known even among Hollywood celebrities, among whom she dresses Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Emily Blunt, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Kendall Jenner, Dita Von Teese and Angelina Jolie.
Elisabetta Franchi is also an animal lover. In fact, in 2012, she launched a collection in collaboration with LAV, joining the Fur Free Program. Since the abolition of fur, the designer has also eliminated goose down and angora wool from production in 2014. With the autumn/winter 2015-2016 collection, the designer joined the LAV Animal Free program, becoming an extraordinary partner in 2015.
Being a great lover of dogs, her company joined the dog hospitality program, opening its doors to employees’ dogs.
