Dice Kayek

French brand of prêt-à-porter, created by the Turkish designer Ece Ege (1963), daughter of a jeweler from Bursa. She began her career by opening a small jewellery shop in Bodrum, a tourist spot on the coast of Anatolia. She moved to Paris in order to take art courses. In 1992, in partnership with her sister Ayse, she made her début presenting 130 white cotton shirts. She was successful and the following year created her own brand, which was invited to the presentations of the Carousel du Louvre. Since then, her designs have been available at kiosks in Harrods in London, at Henry Bendel in New York, and at Italy Direct in Melbourne.
