Jean-Claude (1948). Designer and brand of prêt-à-porter. He was born in Barcelona, of an Italian father and a French mother. While a law student in Milan, he became assistant costume designer at La Scala. He moved to Paris and worked for Hubert de Givenchy in 1971 and the following year for Dorothée Bis. After a short period at Guy Laroche, he established himself in women’s prêt-à-porter as an independent designer, working especially with the Gruppo Finanziario Tessile. From 1976 to 1984 he designed a line of his own that was seductive and sophisticated. Supported financially by the German group Steilmann, he was back with a Collection in 1987.
