Danaud Xavier

French brand established at the end of the 1950s as part of the Duchier company (established in 1910 in Annonay) in order to offer a high-level shoe Collection suitable to the the maison‘s high-fashion clothes. In 1965, 50% of the company was acquired by Charles Jourdan who, in the meanwhile, concluded an agreement with Pierre Cardin for the manufacture and distribution of women’s shoes. For a certain time, the Danaud Collection was designed by Robert Clergerie. In 1979, Charles Jourdan completed the acquisition of the brand and the company and then, in 1992, sold them to Yves Desfarges.
