Diego (1950). Italian make-up artist. Called by The New York Times “the prophet of Made in Italy make-up,” he branched out over the years from the basic work of his profession and became an image expert for famous and well-known people, both in Italy and abroad. After moving to Milan in 1968, he worked first as a costume and set designer, and then specialized in the art of make-up, becoming famous for the cosmetics he created for many celebrities in the theater and show business. In 1978, in Milan, he opened the Make-Up Studio, an image workshop that was revolutionary in concept, and then created his own line of make-up and facial care products. He wrote six books about make-up and regularly worked with several Italian periodicals. His most-recent project, connected to image and global well-being, concerns accessories.
