In April 2020 he made his debut, in full lockdown, with his first haute couture collection. Freedom is the theme and cornerstone of his first haute couture collection. Colour and energy, eccentric and experimental fabrics with which he hopes to bring young people closer to haute couture. His collections are targeted at young people, this is why he chose to make his group of friends wear his clothes. His goal is to revive the fashion system. There are also the essential themes of the current fashion system: genderless and sustainability. His clothes are made only on request and are not distinguishable by gender, therefore they represent freedom in this sense. At just 24 years of age, with the second collection of his brand, he managed to access the impassable Haute Couture calendar in Paris.

NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF ROCHAS

“Becoming the Creative Director of a French fashion house is a dream,” said Charles de Vilmorin in an interview with Vogue on the 27th of January 2021. The dream became reality and in February of the same year, he was appointed the creative director of the fashion house founded in 1925 by Marcel Rochas, now owned by Interparfums. After the death of Alessandro Dell’Acqua at the helm of the brand in 2013, Rochas chose to focus on the vision of the young Charles de Vilmorin.  Boldness, elegance, and originality are the common denominators between the brand’s heritage and Vilmorin’s style. The goal is to give the brand-new vitality, an energy that will accompany it in the following years, and bring it closer to Generation Z.
