Chado Ralph Rucci

American brand of women’s clothing, created in 1994 by Ralph Rucci. The designer, born in Philadelphia in 1957, graduated in Philosophy and English Literature, and not by chance chose for his company the name of the ancient Japanese tea ceremony, a meticulous ritual divided into 331 steps which lead to a state of grace and elegance. In fact, refinery and simplicity characterize his Collections and contribute to his being known as “the most French of the American designers.” His attention to detail and the use of high-quality materials complete the picture. He becomes inspired by Balenciaga. Alberto Giacometti is one of his favorite artists. With good reviews in the press (Cathy Horyn of The New York Times has supported him since the beginning), he serves a select clientele willing to spend 15,000 dollars for a dress. The company headquarters is in New York.
