Terrassa (Barcelona), Spain. Established as a private Collection in 1946, but today managed jointly by the municipal and provincial governments. Reorganized in 1996, it has 15,000 samples of fabrics of various kinds, from archaeological specimens to pieces from the 11^th century. Starting in 1997 the Collection could be consulted on the internet through Image Bank. The specialized library, with more than 6,000 volumes and a wide photographic archive, is open to the public. Thematic exhibits are organized regularly. There is a strong connection to the textile industry which has ancient roots in this Catalan territory.
