Bui

Barbara (1956). French designer. Her griffe is distributed in more than 180 points-of-sale worldwide. Her success began with a bet in the early 1980s. An actress looking for work, she opened a small atelier-boutique at Les Halles in Paris with her partner William Halimi, distributing the Kabuki brand, with a wink at the Japanese theater. The bet became a business and the Collection was named after her. In 1997 she offered a new line called B.B.
She opened boutiques in Paris, on Avenue Montaigne; in Milan, on via Manzoni; and in Soho, in New York. She offered four seasonal Collections: Grande Ligne, Initials, Hommes, and Chaussures. This designer of Vietnamese origin states proudly that she was one of the first to join the new information market.
The griffe has a turnover of €24.5 million compared to €20.3 million the previous year, an increase of 20.6%.
In addition to the fashion activity, there is a Barbara Bui Café, in Rue Etienne Marcel, where it is possible to taste traditional Vietnamese cooking.
