Brunhoff

(de) Michel Brunhoff(1892-1958) was a french journalist. He discovered young talents such as Saint-Laurent and Bourdin, of whom he published the first photograph, in Vogue. In 1912, with Lucien Vogel, he founded the Gazette du Bon Ton. In 1920 he married Cosetta Vogel, Lucien’s sister, and with her he founded Illustration de la Mode. Though he kept his position at Illustration de la Mode until 1933, he also worked on Jardin des Modes, and, in 1929, he founded Vogue France, which he would direct until his death.
