Bric’s

Bric’s is an italian leather manufacturer. It was established in 1952 by Mario Briccola, in Olgiate Comasco. At that time, the corporate name was Industria Valigeria Fine. Eight years later it built its first industrial plant and created a commercial network for distribution. By the early 1970s, the brand was already known on the Italian market for its suitcases, and the firm began the transformation and reorganization that culminated at the end of the 1980s with a generational change that saw the entrepreneurial commitment of Mario’s six sons. The company still maintains its customary management. Since that time, the company’s growth has been constant. A commercial agreement concluded in the 1990s with the brands The Sac, Kipling, and Tumi completed and expanded the commercial structure. In 1995 the first Bric’s stores were opened, with the very first in Milan, on via Dogana. From 1998 to 2002 more stores were opened in Düsseldorf, Catania, Rome, Paris, Kitzbühel, Montercarlo, and Seoul. The most recent is the store on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the second one in Milan, and a kiosk at Malpensa Airport. For 2002 the turnover was €30,000. Bric’s manufactures 500,000 pieces a year, and employs 200 workers. In March 2003 an agreement was concluded with Pininfarina concerning three product lines, rigid suitcases, soft suitcases, and leather goods and briefcases.
