Bomber jacket

Bomber jacket is a short military-style jacket inspired by those worn by World War II aviators and bomber pilots. It became a fashion staple from the 1960s on, particularly for a younger generation who adopted it, along with jeans, as a component of “rebel” fashion. Its basic features include an ample cut, padded lining, zippered front, and a fitted or elasticized waist. Traditionally made from heavy weather-resistant wools or brown leather, bomber jackets have also been broadly interpreted over the decades in black leather and various materials, with decoration including metallic studs, printing and sheepskin linings and collars.
