Amaya (1970). Spanish designer. She followed in the footsteps of her mother, Maria Luisa Navarro, a knitwear designer who controls the largest Spanish group in the field, Elipse. Amaya was born in Lerna, near Burgos. She maked her début in 1994 during the women’s prêt-à-porter show in Paris. Her next Collections, presented at the same time in Paris and in Spain, sold 55,000 pieces in 35 countries. Her Collections of women’s and men’s wear for Autumn-Winter 1997-1998 have been presented on the runways of London Fashion Week.
Second presentation in Milan for the designer loved by Pedro AlmodÆvar, for whose films she created many of the costumes. In Milan Amaya presented chiffon mini-tunics combined with leather leggings and blouses of boiled wool with large pleats.
