Ronit Zilkha, born in Israel, is ready-to-wear designer. After graduating in Fashion Design, Ronit launched her first Collection in 1991 and held her first runway show in 1996. Since then, she lives and works in London. Tradition has made her shows the event that opens London Fashion Week.
Her fashions have romantic, sinuous lines and intricate details. Ronit meets the needs of women from all walks of life who share the same desire for sensual, feminine fabrics in fresh, lush colours. Ronit’s love of craftsmanship and antique details spills over into her collections throughout the seasons, creating clothes that go beyond the current season.
As her designs evolved, the collections also catered to the woman in the spotlight, including celebrities and Hollywood stars. In fact, Her clients include Cherie Blair, Cate Blanchett, Geri Halliwell and Julia Roberts.
COLLABORATION WITH ITOKI APPAREL COMPANY
She has recently signed a license agreement with the Itoki Apparel Company for the production and distribution of her brand on the Japanese market. The successful results of this collaboration have also convinced Littlewoods to sign Zilkha up as a consultant. Today there are 4 London stores, and 23 own-brand stores, in-store sales points, and other outlets throughout the rest of Britain.
CAREER AS A FASHION CONSULTANT
With 25 years of experience, Ronit Zilkha acts as a freelance fashion consultant for various companies. She provides expert advice on design, branding, production, online retail and retail. Ronit regularly acts as a silent consultant and gives regular speeches and presentations, participating in juries and discussion forums.
