Zazo & Brull
Zazo & Brull is a Spanish brand founded in 2003 by Xavier Zazo and Clara Brull. They were classmates at the Faculty of Design at the Llotja de Mar School of Applied Arts in Barcelona and then at the Mitchell School for Cutting and Patternmaking.
BEGINNINGS AND SUCCESS
During their intense professional journey, Zazo & Brull participated in the Barcelona Fashion Show and walked the runway at Pasarela Gaudí, the Madrid International Fashion Show, IFEMA and international fairs such as Ideacomo and Tokyo’s International Fashion Fair. They also received an invitation to participate in Pasarela Gaudì Novias, during Barcelona’s Bridal Fashion Week. But not only that: at Murcia’s Pasarela Abierta, and the Futurmoda Shoe and Leather Goods Fair. They have also taken part in several editions of Bread&Butter, also in Barcelona, and have been involved in the last two editions of 080 Barcelona Fashion, while during Paris Fashion Week they showed at the Catalan fashion showroom.
A CREATIVE AND INTERNALISED AESTHETIC
The brand has an aesthetic that is strongly influenced by fantastic creativity, which leads to the production of clothes in a wide variety of forms. The two designers tell stories through their collections. They are convinced that clothes are not just something to wear, but a means of expressing one’s inner self. They have created an imaginary world in which each season they design a new character, inspired by existing stories or creating new ones.
In particular, the two designers admire the sweet and melancholic mood of Joe Sorren’s stories. Not to mention the mix of innocence and perversion of Mark Ryden’s characters and Tim Burton’s characters.
Their work has been noticed by major international fashion magazines and showcased in numerous features. Zazo & Brull designs are available for purchase in several fashion outlets, as well as through their own online store.
