Xiomara, Katty

Katty Xiomara, born in 1974, is a Portuguese fashion designer. After attending fashion design courses at Citex in Porto, she undertook an interesting study of the Trussardi label. The fashion designer is very feminine, sensual and fun, and her clothes have a youthful air about them. Also, She loves highly personalised clothes, to which she adds frayed details and irregular textures as an identifying seal. She loved working with cotton and lycra.

In 2007, she establishes her retail atelier in an antique mansion on Porto’s famous rua da Boavista. She has been presenting her collections at New York Fashion Week since September 2013. She was granted the Silver Winner medal by the IDA “International Design Awards” a year later.

Moreover, she designed the uniforms for Livraria Lello, an award-winning bookstore, in 2017. Her creations were showcased in cities such as Milan, Paris, Portugal, and Spain and she was one of the OpenMyMed Prize 2020-21 laureates in February of 2020.
