Wolford

Wolford is a leading Austrian legwear and bodywear company, founded in 1950 in Lake Constance.

Wolford’s history and evolution

Technology, sophisticated workmanship, and quality have made Wolford synonymous with comfort. The brand introduced innovations such as the first transparent shaping tights (1977), the first seamless body (1992), and seamless tights that are invisible under any garment.

In 1998, the panty-dress invented by designer Philippe Starck was launched. Called Starck Naked Multiwear, it is made of microfiber and can be transformed from a foot-length, low-cut dress into a low-cut miniskirt dress. It has six combinations and is produced in four colors.

Wolford, in addition to single-brand boutiques, 250 worldwide, can also be purchased in prestigious department stores, such as Harrods and Bergdorf Goodman, and online.

In 2018, the brand was taken over by Lanvin Group, owner of Lanvin, Sergio Rossi, St. John and Caruso.

The Austrian brand has made several collaborations during its history. For example, in 2020 it collaborated with Adidas, creating completely seamless garments made with cutting-edge processing techniques. In 2021 a collection made with Amina Muaddi was launched.
