Van Der Straeten

Hervé (1965). French jeweler. A creator of costume jewelry, he founded the company in 1985, at the age of 20. Creators of fashion like Saint-Laurent, Balmain, Lagerfeld, Lanvin, Rifat Ozbek, Martine Sitbon and Lacroix commissioned him to create costume jewelry per runway presentations. The materials that he loves best are bronze and brass, hammered and gilded. His subjects, often anthropomorphic, partake of the folk saga and the fairytale dream, and occasionally are spectacular in size. With an international presence (Europe, United States, Japan, Arab nations), the maison also produces decorative objects for the home.
