VETEMENTS DE VACANCE: FRENCH READY-TO-WEAR FASHION BRAND

Almost an acronym because it stands for Vetements de Vacance. The company, created by Michèle Rosier, daughter of the owner of Elle and, at the time, a journalist, was founded in Paris in 1963. The first collections, thanks to the idea of creating quick-drying swimwear made from plume nylon, were a success. Designers such as De Castelbajac, Kenzo and Agnès B worked for the brand. In 1990, Sergio Tacchini bought the brand, giving it the necessary impetus to conquer new markets. Eight years later, the Parisian company V de V became Italian and presented a new line for the last summer of the millennium: Sport Active, neoprene garments with removable waterproof pockets.
