Magnus Unnar Born in 1974, Magnus Unnar is an Icelandic photographer who is part of the Rachel Elliston Photographers team. At twenty years of age he moved to England where he studied at the London College of Printing. Once he graduated, he threw himself headlong into the fashion industry alongside fashion editors Nicola Formichetti and Katy England. His style is appreciated for the ability to capture the subjects in unique situations, spontaneous but with a strongly glamorous taste.

He works for the advertising campaigns of renowned clothing brands such as Uniqlo, H&M, Lacoste, Levi’s and Pucci and for numerous editorials that have appeared in prestigious fashion magazines such as Vogue Japan, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview, Purple Fashion Magazine, Another Magazine, i-D, Vogue Homme Japan and Self Service. He also developed a strong passion for photographic art which he talked about in his books including the monographic volume “In The Middle of Something” (2010) where he portrayed his friends and family in intimate settings.
is currently working on a second editorial project where the subject is his native land. Lives and works in London, Paris and New York.
