Roberto. Argentine fashion designer. He lives and works in Spain where he moved from Buenos Aires in 1972. He established himself in Madrid and entered the world of fashion through the Trip Diffusion company in Barcelona. In 1981 he founded Snif, an apparel manufacturing company. He specialized in the production of cotton sportswear, but his creations became progressively richer and more complex. The first Collection designed by Roberto Torretta that had a runway presentation (in Madrid) was the Spring-Summer 1984 Collection. In 1988, he opened his own proprio showroom and his Collections began to be sold in the finest Spanish boutiques. In 1996 his items were presented for the first time in the Pasarela Cibeles in Madrid. In 2002 he was awarded two prizes in recognition of his brilliant career in the world of fashion. These were the Alfiler de Oro, assigned by Fermoda and the Pasarela Costa del Sol.
