Thomas Pink

English chain of shirt shops, with headquarters in Chelsea since 1984. It takes its name for the legendary tailor of Mayfair who lived in the eighteenth century and who made the finest hunting jackets that money could buy. Handmade shirts, generally classical in design though the line includes bright colors and modern patterns. Since 1985 the label also has a women’s line. Among the clients, Hugh Grant, Anna Wintour, Christie Brinkley, Stella Tennant.
1999, September. The LVMH Group, worldwide leader in the luxury market, announced a majority holding of the label.
2001. The single-label sales outlets, aside from the “historic” ones in London and New York, were now also in Brussels, Paris, Boston, San Francisco.
