Studio Berµot

Private French fashion school founded by the painter and illustrator Suzanne Berµot in the late 1940s. From these artistic origins, the school focused on creative development and the individuality of the student. Besides artistic and aesthetic subjects, there is also a technical and management program to enable students to work in the fashion industry. Since 1970 the course, which lasts two years, plus a year spent in industry, has been formally recognized. Students are accepted at the age of 18, when they have taken their secondary school exams. There is a permanent teaching staff, but people working in industry are occasionally invited to teach. Former pupils include Nicole Farhi, Martine Sitbon, and Ocimar Versolato. The school is directed by Marie Ruck.
