Stella Maxwell was born in Brussels on May 15, 1990 to Northern Irish parents, Maurice Maxwell and Stella Maynes.
She grew up in Belgium and attended the European School in Brussels until the age of 13.
Subsequently, the Maxwell family moved to Australia, Canberra and then to Wellington, New Zealand. The girl begins attending Queen Margaret College, where she graduates, and then begins attending the Psychology faculty of the University of Otago.
It is during her first year at the university that she is discovered and her modeling career begins.
THE BEGINNINGS
Her career began thanks to the combination of extraordinary coincidences.
One morning Stella she walked into a small cafe near the university. Just then, a photographer employed by a modeling agency was passing by that same bar. It might not have happened, but once it happened, the man was struck by the powerful aura of Stella and her beauty. Immediately, he invited her to take some shots and this meeting opened the doors to the world of fashion. .
Initially, the young model worked at a small New Zealand agency based in Dunedin. It is in this small reality that she quickly learned the intricacies of a modeling career and she understood how to find and develop her own style.
Later, Stella moved to Paris, the capital of the fashion world, while the family returned to Northern Ireland.
Shortly thereafter, se receives an employment contract in New York from the world-renowned agency The Lions .
