Soho

District of New York. Not to be confused with a London district of the same name, this area in south Manhattan (the name means “south of Houston,” which is the avenue that forms its northern boundary) was transformed from being the artistic center of New York to Big Apple’s fashion center in just a few years. Next to the most fashionable art galleries and restaurants in the city, one finds boutiques and shops of designers from all over the world. It is here that Louis Vuitton, Prada, Helmut Lang, Comme des Garµons, Agnes B., Yoshii Yamamoto, and new designers like Dosa, Vivienne Tam, Atsuro Tayama, and Marc Jacobs have decided to open their shops.
