Sinibaldi

Debora (1956). Florentine by birth and Milanese by adoption, she is the daughter of a couple of hippy artists (her father is devoted to painting and restoration, her mother to wrought iron). She grew up in an atmosphere of great openness, turmoil, and stimuli. She is a traveler and has always moved between the US and Europe. After the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, she moved to New York and became a knitwear designer. Having returned to Italy, she joined Gianfranco Ferré’s design team and collaborated with him for many years. Her next step was Celine (in 1993) which allows her to refine and develop her creative talents. During the same period, Debora Sinibaldi experimented in the field of design and, with a friend, created a new collection of knitwear and luxury accessories for the home, NJAL. In the meantime, Marco Calcinai joined the company, starting off by looking after its management. At the start of 2000, Debora Sinaldi designed a collection of knitwear under her own name. The strong teamwork with Marco Calcinai created Debora Sinibaldi Srl, which is a completely self-financing company. Currently, the designer is responsible for all of Celine’s knitwear and works on her deboraSinaldi line, a collection of clothing and accessories sold in international boutiques and department stores.
