Simone Guidarelli was born in Cagli, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino. The father works in a small construction company, while the mother works in her aunt’s flower shop. Dance has always been his passion since when he was 5 years old. He practiced it in Cagli up to 15 years of age, before moving to Rome, where he arrived after graduating in hotel studies to study Psychology.

However, dance remained a constant factor in his life, during his studies he met a dancer friend who advised him to audition at the Dance Academy for a course. Guidarelli passed the audition and continued to dance until the age of 23. After that he dropped the course at the Academy due to too much pressure and competition. After finishing his studies in Psychology, he moved to Milan, where he joined ARPA, the Research Association for Applied Psychology at the Cesare Muratti Center.

The debut in fashion

Thanks to his boyfriend, Guidarelli met a stylist who surprisingly asked him to assist her in a photo shoot for the monthly magazine Men’s Health. From that moment, he abandoned his profession as a psychologist and traveled for three years acquiring new skills and specializing in the fashion industry. After a long journey he arrived in Elle, where he definitively consecrates himself as a stylist. At the editorial office, he collaborated with internationally renowned photographers, David Bailey, Patrick Demarchelier, Greg Lotus, Koto Bolofo. But also with other publications, including Harper’ s Bazaar, Glamour and Vanity Fair.

Guidarelli immediately grasped the creative potential of social media, and in particular of Instagram, the platform that the stylist uses to communicate his surreal and explosive creative vision. His wallpapers were born through Instagram, an unexpected project born from the morning shots of his breakfasts. The stylist told AD Italia: «I created little romantic and surreal sets and started my day like that. One day the owner of the Brandone Fund contacted me to create something special with the images and drawings he had in the archive ».

From there, his first wallpaper was born, which he then presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. In 2018, the collaboration with K-Way arrived, in which its textures dominate, first conceived as wallpapers. Following this, there was the collaboration with Elisabetta Franchi and with Bentley, up to the launch of the e-commerce and the partnership with Campo Marzio.
