Janie (1931). French journalist. In 1987 she won a fashion Oscar as best journalist working for the French and foreign dailies. In 1994, she was awarded the Légion d’Honneur by the French Minister of Culture, Jacques Toubon. Having studied law at university, she went to work for L’Aurore in 1955. In 1979, she was made editor-in-chief of the women’s column in Le Figaro. A sharp and attentive observer of what happens in Paris and the rest of the world, she knows how to analyze the ephemeral aspects of fashion with great lucidity, pointing out and highlighting its ups and downs.
