Sage

Russell (1969). English designer. Before his successful entry into the fashion world (winning the New Generation prize in London Fashion Week in 2002), his career spanned both antiques and multimedia work. His interest in clothes led him, without any formal training in the field, to gain experience from the tailors in Savile Row and the shirtmakers of Jermyn Street in London. In 2003, he launched a line destined to reach a wide market. He caught on to the eccentric trend that mixes the sexy with the puritanical with great irony. He willingly uses old drapery with vintage materials. He is doing an interior design project with Hine Cognac and is creative consultant for Amnesty International.
