Rossetti, Elsa

Elsa Rossetti (1915-2013) was a journalist, organiser of events and fashion shows in Italy and abroad.

Head of the Fashion section of Stampa Sera from 1960 to 1989 and of Radiocorriere from 1965 to 1971. For 21 years (from 1955) Elsa Rossetti coordinated and presented the Samia fashion shows in Turin, organising, for the first time, promotional Italian fashion shows in Düsseldorf, London and Belgrade. Also for the Foreign Trade Institute, in Tripoli (until the advent of Gaddafi), in San Salvador, Copenhagen, Dublin, Reykjavik.

In the 1970s, Elsa Rossetti was commissioned by Fiat to travel to Thessaloniki, Athens, Rhodes, Voloz, Buenos Aires and Stockholm, under the banner of the winning fashion-car combination. An adventurous trips for which she chose the most famous supermodels (at the time, only models…). Subsequently, he organised the Settimana dell’impermeabile in Florence (called by Beppe Modenese). Later, in the 1970s and 1980s, for the Comofoulard Silk Association, the fashion show-performances at the auditorium in Bonn, at the Royal Albert Hall in London, in Düsseldorf while, for the Industrial Associations of Padua and Milan. He took the first Italian prêt-à-porter, high fashion and footwear show to Moscow in 1984.
