Rijksmuseum. Museum located in Amsterdam, Holland

Since its opening in 1885, it has had a department dedicated to clothing and textiles. With an initial nucleus made up of clothes and accessories donated by the Royal House of Holland. In fact, today there are more than 10,000 items divided into the following categories and dated. Men’s and women’s clothes 1720-1960, children’s clothes 1700-1950, accessories 1500-1960, formal wear 1750-1930. The Rijksmuseum has always collected what belonged to the upper classes and was strictly locally made.
