RIFÒ

RIFÒ IS AN ITALIAN SUSTAINABLE FASHION BRAND BORN IN 2017 THAT CREATES CLOTHING FROM RECYCLED FABRICS

A trip to Vietnam and the observation of overproduction in the fashion industry, gave life to Niccolò Cipriani’s project, Rifò, in 2017. Rifò was born in Prato with a 11,500 euro crowdfunding collection. In April 2018 the crowdfunding campaign on the 100% regenerated t-shirt was launched: more than 300 were sold in a month. The project was appreciated and in May 2018 it entered the acceleration program for Hubble startups of Nana Bianca in Florence, with the support of the Research and Development Foundation and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze.

In July of the same year Rifò S.r.l was officially founded and the first “Agorà” shop/office was inaugurated in Prato. Based on the idea of reuse and recycling, the brand’s portfolio is expanding more and more with the creation of the first sweater regenerated from jeans, with the “Avant-garde jacket” and the first denim dress by Rifò.

The brand’s name is a Tuscan inflection of the verb “remake”. In fact, Rifò’s goal is to create a line of quality clothing and accessories entirely Made in Italy with 100% regenerated and regenerable fibres.

The Rifò clothes are viewed in a sustainable ethics thanks to the zero kilometre production, the recycling of fabrics and the fair wage of its employees. Notably, they have also launched initiatives throughout the Italian territory to collect used sweaters and jeans for recycling. The Re-Think your jeans service has been active since 2021, which allows you to insert your old jeans in the regeneration process thanks to the collaboration with NaturaSì shops.
