Pulitzer

Lilly (1932). Designer. Known in the USA for designing and producing a dress to wear around the house which, thanks to its comfort and bright colors, became a sort of domestic uniform for American women in the first half of the 1960s. The dress, known by its wearers as “the Lilly,” helped fill the coffers of the business that Pulitzer had founded on Palm Beach in 1959. Soon there were sales points all over the USA, and these remained open until 1984.
