Pucci

Laudomia (1961). Italian fashion designer and entrepreneur. She took her Baccalauréat in France at 18 years of age, and graduated in Rome in political sciences at 23. She gained experience on a commercial level in major department stores and speciality stores in America and the Far East. For two years she was in charge of prêt-à-porter and accessories at Givenchy in Paris. In 1992, after the death of her father Emilio, she became President and Executive Director of Emilio Pucci Srl. After the April 2000 agreement with LVMH, she was made Artistic Director. She entered the world of fashion “by chance,” following her extraordinary father who, in her first week working for Emilio Pucci, took her to Atlanta for fashion shows and exhibitions, of which she had been completely “starved.” The young graduate loved her new line of work and was soon climbing the career ladder, albeit in an untraditional fashion.
